As the owner of a listed building you will appreciate the need the retain the character of your property and it's interior decor in a style befitting the original design. It may well be that your property is several hundreds of years old, so you should consider yourself as a 'custodian in time' as well as the owner.
Inevitably the interior of period properties suffer from deterioration, especially when left unused or empty. Features such as period wallpaper designs, cornice & ceiling mouldings etc. were often hand crafted bespoke designs individual to a particular designer or estate.
Here at Booth and Son Restoration we appreciate the need to renovate these features to exactly match the originals. We have our own Design Studio in which we can replicate all aspects of interior design. Our team can match hand painted period wallpaper & use screenprinting, block and handpainting techniques to produce replacements that you simply cannot buy 'off the shelf'.
We also take mouldings of deteriorated features such as cornice & ceiling designs, dado rails, gargoyles etc. and create repair sections or replicas to maintain such items that would otherwise be lost forever..
At one of our current projects we have saved an imposing eighteenth century archway from it's demise after a section fell away down a three flight stairwell - even English Heritage doubted it could be saved.. but we relish a challenge.
We don't however live entirely in the past, our interior designers can work with you to create your personal contemporary stamp on your home, providing heritage for future generations.
